Our partnerships with local nonprofit organizations and health-minded businesses help us bring yoga to elder citizens, the physically limited, and several under-served populations.  Our current programs also reach people with MS, at-risk youths, uninsured workers, and immigrants. We are eager to work with groups or individuals who have special needs and businesses seeking a healthier work environment.  And, we welcome all partnerships for raising both funds and awareness.

Classes for adults

We bring chair, gentle mat, or desk-side yoga to your facility.  We work in several retirement communities both with active seniors who can use a chair as a prop for support and with seniors who must remain seated.  We also work at housing shelters with people of all abilities, many of whom have never had the opportunity to try yoga.  We can come to your office complex, your meeting rooms, or any accommodating public space and design a program for the specific needs of your group.

Classes for youths

We design and deliver programs that are beneficial to younger populations.  We are most interested in children and teens who are at-risk, disadvantaged in some way, or would not otherwise be exposed to yoga.  We are currently in partnership with YOGA for Youth to launch a pilot program starting in April for Wake County at Enloe High School and we are open to other opportunities.

Health fairs and demonstrations

We participate in health fairs, events, and meetings of special-needs groups within our local community, primarily Wake County. We offer an interactive and educational experience, at no charge, that includes a demonstration of proper sitting posture, basic yoga poses while seated in a chair, and how to use the chair as a support for other poses. We share breathing techniques, basics of meditation, and ergonomics to provide a foundation for desk-side wellness.  We leave the participants with a two-sided brochure that they can use for later reference.

Guest teachers

We provide both public agencies and private businesses with guest yoga teachers who can serve as speakers or lead demonstrations or classes.  We have a referral list of qualified teachers many of them experienced with special-needs groups.

Partnerships for fundraising

We partner with organizations and businesses to raise money for teacher stipends for our programs. We have partnered with Ten Thousand Villages of Raleigh, Lululemon, The Stockroom, blue lotus, Sola Coffee Cafe, and the Raleigh-Cary Jewish Federation to provide classes and host events to raise money for our and their missions.  We welcome your ideas and contributions.
