Yoga practice has no age limit. This is important, as we find that as we age there is a decreased capacity to breathe and to move. These issues, among other possible medical and cognitive conditions, can greatly affect how people take care of themselves, interact with others, and experience their golden years of life.
Yoga for seniors can be practiced in a safe manner when seated on a chair or, if capable, standing, sitting or lying on a yoga mat. We are attentive to special conditions that tend to occur in seniors, and we inform our students about the precautions we take in practice and for them to consider in their life.
