Y.O.G.A. for Youth Returns to Enloe High School

A heartfelt thank you to the generous donors and event attendees who have funded yoga classes at Enloe High School in Raleigh. YCTY has again provided money for the teacher's stipend to lead at risk, special needs students from Enloe High School in after school yoga classes. Enloe teacher Nan Maule will be inspiring local teens over the next few months. We look forward to further partnering with Y.O.G.A for Youth. Adaptive Yoga Class Every Wednesday at Evolve North

Yoga for MS, Neuromuscular and Joint Disorders Class Begins at Total Wine October 22

The launch of Yoga for MS, Neuromuscular and Joint Disorders brings together veteran chair yoga teacher and YCTY Board member Susan Kilmon and Director Howie Shareff to co-teach the free 60 minute class. The class is hosted by Total Wine at North Hills in Raleigh from 10-11am and will continue on November 5. Location after that will be determined soon. To learn more and register, contact Howie.

Pay Forward the Benefits of Yoga, Tonight

Have you enjoyed our free classes, videos, information or mission? We seek your support. Join us tonight Wednesday, October 8 from 6-9pm for a delicious and fun social gathering to help pay forward the benefits of yoga to those in need. Your $40 ticket (50% tax deductible) supports our programs for the physically challenged and under-served to improve their life with yoga. Our social gathering will include treats from our YogaFest Raleigh sponsors Neomonde, Athleta and Happy + Hale as well as other generous offerings created by our host, Solas Raleigh. Our event includes a fun patio for meeting and eating, tunes from DJ Dan, with dancing from 7-8, sponsor acknowledgement and interesting stories from our mission. Learn more and purchase a ticket. As YogaFest Raleigh conclude, YCTY turns its attention onto its 1st Annual Fall Fundraiser celebrating the yoga community with food, socializing, sharing stories and making new connections! One YogaFest Raleigh Session Remains  

We have greatly enjoyed our outdoor sessions at City Plaza and indoors at The Stockroom at 230 Fayetteville Street (see video). YogaFest Raleigh Draws 140 per Night 

After three classes, we have drawn an average of 140 per evening outside at City Plaza or indoors at The Stockroom. Our first three teachers were Tiffany Ingersoll of Open Door Yoga, Jessica Mollett of Breathing Mountain Yoga, and Briana Young-Roane of Brioga. They provided a range of styles from gentle flow with some core engagement yoga, to rejuvenating gentle yoga, to active heat building core-stoking yoga.
