Yoga for Stress Management

An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until March 17, 2021

Empowerment is the best tool yoga provides to every individual. “Yoga teaches us to cure what cannot be endured and endure what cannot be cured”- BKS Iyengar. With increased stressful situations, complication of societal approval, and manifestation of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer etc, little attention is given to gratitude, satisfaction and self care. Yoga for stress relief program will be beneficial for all age groups, shapes and sizes from a preventative and management standpoint.

In this 5-week series, you will learn specific asanas, pranayamas and meditative practices for stress management. By the end of this series, participants will be equipped with various yogic management tools to decrease daily
stresses and improve mind-body connection.

About Foram Shah
Foram is a Physical Therapist with Masters in Health Science (MHS) and RYT 200 and RYT 500 yoga certifications. Currently practicing in Raleigh NC, she is a physical therapist by profession and yoga teacher by passion. Her love for yoga therapeutics stems from combining ancient yoga science with the latest scientific research for managing various therapeutic conditions. Through her strong knowledge base in the physiology of various health care conditions and strong Indian roots, she wishes to spread love, warmth and, most importantly, empowerment in her community . She believes in changing “disability” to “differently abled” with yoga.
