Additional Teachers Help to Expand Community Outreach

Over the last few months, several yoga teachers have volunteered their skills to bring gentle, accessible yoga to a wide range of students with little or no yoga practice experience. They are fulfilling You Call This Yoga’s mission to help the under-served benefit from yoga. Our teachers are:

  • Sheila Bassoppo-Moyo, who teaches at the Helen Wright Woman’s Shelter, Southeast Raleigh community and Whole Foods
  • Tammy Germiller, who teaches at health fairs and in the community in southern Wake County
  • Antoinette Nena Villamil, who teaches stress reduction to HeadStart parents and gentle yoga in Durham County

These ladies graciously expanded the ongoing programs at the Public Library and support groups for those with special needs in 2012 and 2013. In total, You Call This Yoga teachers have provided over 200 community classes in 2012. We welcome inquiries about serving the public with gentle, accessible yoga. It is a very satisfying experience. Contact Howie at
