Jill Sockman (E-RYT500) has been guiding students along the path of yoga for fourteen years. With thousands of hours of teaching experience and well over 1000 hours of dedicated training, she is considered by many to be the teacher's teacher in the Triangle and beyond. Experienced in hatha and vinyasa yoga, she is an initiate of the Srividya tradition and Himalayan Lineage as taught by Swami Rama and shared by her teacher Yogarupa Rod Stryker.
A lifelong journey to create true community led her to establish blue lotus yoga & movement arts in Raleigh, NC, a space of learning, healing and transformation. Here, she serves as Director of 9 Months of Transformation, a 285-hour RYT200 program; and The Evolution of Practice, a 300-hour bridge to RYT500 program. She has led yoga, service and education programs in Mexico, Belize, India, South Africa, Nicaragua and here in the United States. The root of her gift is for meeting you where you are; helping you uncover your potential and harness the power of the unique truth that resides within, that you might be a greater force for good in your own life and in the world.
