Co-Director of Village Yoga, Jessica Moody (E-RYT200, RYT500) began practicing yoga in 2007. In 2013, along with her yogini soul-sister Katie, she co-founded Village Yoga, a social entrepreneurship and yoga studio in the village of Duck on the Outer Banks.
In the Spring of 2015, Jess completed her 500-hour certification and a professional mentorship with Kristin Cooper at the Kunga Yoga School. Since 2014, she has guest taught 200-hour Kunga Yoga training programs and is a certified Kunga Yoga teacher trainer at the professional level. Jess has also taught with nonprofits and in retreat settings in Mexico, Costa Rica, and India. She holds certificates in 5Elements Vinyasa Flow with advanced studies in Power Vinyasa, Restorative & Senior Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga, and Yoga for PTSD and trauma sensitive populations.
Within her teachings, Jess strives to create a mindful and physically progressive, yet fun, yoga practice that challenges her students to unlock their ultimate potential and strive for their highest selves. Jess’ vision as a yoga teacher is to continue to spread yoga as a path of service, and to inspire students to live with unconditional self-love. When she’s not on the mat you can find her in the ocean riding waves, or searching for beach treasures with her dog, Waylon.
