This therapeutic yoga class takes the participant slowly and gently through an exploration of the mind-body and emotional inter-webbing. The session incorporates meditation techniques to support expansion of our inner awareness of what we experience and what helps support freedom. Combinations of various meditation techniques are integrated with stillness and movement to allow the student to explore sensations during practice and study the echo after. The class is suitable for anyone, including those with physical limitations, such as arthritis, recovering from an injury or joint replacement. Alternative standing, seated and lying postures are combined with the use of props to support balance and transitioning to and from the floor. No experience with yoga is needed.
