YogaFest NC 2014, North Carolina’s Annual Yoga and Healthy Lifestyle Conference
Raleigh, NC - Over 200 individuals have registered to participate at the third annual YogaFest NC, hosted by You Call This Yoga, on March 22 at the McKimmon Center. This all-day retreat will offer programs to anyone who is interested in yoga -- regardless of experience level -- and wants to develop and expand their practice in a safe, enthusiastic and professional setting. Proceeds from the event support the ongoing mission of You Call This Yoga to help the physically challenged and under-served populations improve their quality of life with yoga.
With major sponsors -- Athleta, Bikram Yoga Raleigh, and Irregardless Cafe and Catering -- as well as a number of additional sponsors, YogaFest NC will feature 15 yoga sessions taught by area yoga instructors, over 30 healthy lifestyle services and product providers, Kirtan, free massages and vegetarian lunch catered by Neomonde. You Call This Yoga has also secured scholarship for an additional 40 individuals -- including veterans, the physically challenged, those who are new to yoga, and individuals who may not be able to afford the retreat -- who will have the pleasure to enjoy YogaFest NC. Attendees of the retreat will also be making history as they help us break last year’s record class size of an indoor yoga class in the state!
“My vision is a day when yoga practice is an integral part of our national wellness policy,” said Howie Shareff, Director of You Call This Yoga. “YogaFest NC unites experienced and beginner yogis, the able and physically-challenged, teacher and student and advocates of health for an all-day immersion into the benefits of yoga.”
